“We first used Lane Myers Construction in 2006. He came highly recommended by a friend in the construction lending business. That experience with Lane was very positive. The house was completed timely and, for the most part, on budget. Any overage in the budget was due to unseen issues or changes requested by us.

In 2013, we decided to build another home, and because of our experience with Lane, we contracted again with Lane Myers Construction. That home was an even better experience. Again, the project was timely and on budget except for changes requested by us during construction. We loved that house and all of the finishes. Lane was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting us to the right people to provide the type and quality of finishes that we wanted in the house. That was home for us for the next six years. 

Although there were ups and downs during construction of these two homes, the overall experience was pleasant enough that we decided to build again. We actually talked to four different builders and got quotes/estimates from three of them before deciding to go with Lane Myers Construction once again. 

We started this project right at the onset of the Covid pandemic and it definitely had a negative impact on the overall experience. Our expectations were high and we never experienced the kind of delays and frustration that occurred during the next two years during construction. The building industry was definitely impacted by delays, shortages, and understaffed subcontractors. Once we realized that this was going to be a bigger challenge than the previous two builds, we were able to realign our expectations and move forward. Tyler Myers was the project manager on our project and we were able to work closely with him. He was very responsive to our concerns and followed up on all of our questions, working closely with the subcontractors on the project. Tyler worked well with them and the final product was a beautiful home with exquisite finishes. Having spoken with other people and subcontractors, we realize that any frustrations we endured were not because of the builder, but because of the overall building environment. 

We continue to iron out some small glitches and have been in contact with Tyler and he is always pleasant to work with and gets things remediated  very quickly. We have enjoyed our relationship with Tyler and the results that he has secured on this project.”

“Lane is one of the most ethical talented builders in Utah maybe anywhere. We had to fire a builder for his ethical choices and fraud. Lane jumped into a mess and was able to turn around the two homes we were building. I do believe he did it to help us out of a bad situation more than for the job itself. They were both spec homes, but because they were so nice we decided to live in one of them. The finishes and the details were amazing. Many builders I have found don’t take the time to handle the little details and really get you the product you want. You always get what you pay for, and if you are looking to cut corners and have someone do it cheap. you will end up with a cheap product. If you want to actually pay a builder for their talent and their experience you won’t find a better builder in Utah than Lane Myers.”

“We had been told by several friends and contractors that if they were ever to build they would have Lane Myers build their home because of the quality of work he does. We were hesitant at first because we thought Lane Myers is a “Custom” home builder and all his homes are these beautiful “Parade of Homes” type houses. When we called Lane he said he would love to work with us and that he could build us a home that would reflect our tastes and likes but still stay within our budget.

Our first meeting was all it took to decide to go with Lane Myers. Lane and his staff walked us through a list of things that we thought we would really like to have in a house. They explained the Pros and Cons of some of our ideas, which enabled us to really focus on the style of house we wanted and needed. There were features that we thought we absolutely had to have that we ended up not wanting and there were features we never thought of that Lane showed us and we absolutely loved. Moving a wall here, changing a color there, it was all possible because Lane and his staff literally walked us through the whole build and presented options to us the whole time making us really feel like we were building “Our” home.

The experience was amazing but at the end of the day you have to pay for it right? This is what sold us from the get go. We were always told what things were costing. We were able to make the “Upgrades” that we wanted or that we felt we needed. There were no secrets and if we needed to scale back we could and when we added it was always after Lane and his staff worked tirelessly to find us the best deal. The whole process from start to finish was an open book. The whole staff at Lane Myers stood behind us and supported this project from start to finish. They have even followed up after with little repairs here and there to make sure we are 100% happy with our new home.

I don’t know that I’d ever build again just because we love this new home so much but if we did Lane Myers would build it.”

“We are in the final week of completing the construction of our new home. The result is incredible… breathtaking. It’s funny because when we take people through the house to see it as we are finishing construction several have mentioned the genius that went into the home.

It’s amazing to start with this picture in your end of your ultimate dream home… then you think through every little detail and every little option you want and you start to build this mental image of the home in your mind. I then took that picture in my head and started cutting out photos and capturing images over years and years and saving them into binders and electronic folders so that I could visualize exactly how my finished home would look. Then when we started the actual project I took all those images and put them into a huge PowerPoint presentation that walked room through room of what I wanted my finished product to look like.

I swear I had walked through this new home in my mind a million times or more over the years, and tonight I got to walk through the actual finished product – and I have to say, the finished product turned out every bit as beautiful as that image in my mind all those years. It is truly a spectacular home and I feel so blessed to have been able to take that dream and make it into a reality for my family and I can’t wait to share it with all our friends and loved ones.”

I have been inspired by amazing architecture in my travels around the world which has helped me create the design for my family’s FOREVER DREAM HOME. “Building a home and choosing the right builder is never easy, even under the best circumstances. My wife and I entered the building process right after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. The stress in our lives could not have been higher. However, after talking with Lane, we decided we wanted to move forward and build our dream home.

Now that our home is complete, we are able to look back and give anyone our honest opinion of Lane Myers and his team.  Lane’s team, including his foreman Tyler, were wise to always set expectations for us, especially about timelines, and the cost of building. They were respectful of our budget, and were always upfront with us when we choose to go over budget to add additional items… There were never surprises that we didn’t know about. When unforeseen challenges arose, they were quick to find the proper solution, and our house turned out better than we could have imagined!

When building, you enter a relationship with a team of people that will include almost daily interaction.
